The site “Forests of Eurasia”, is a non-profit project whose main purpose is to create conditions for interaction between experts in the field of forestry, the activists of environmental NGOs, the media and scientists for the protection and rational use of forest ecosystems and the environment, as well as integration with foreign specialists.
The origins of the project originated, since 2001, since the International Conference of Young Scientists “Forests of Eurasia in the third millennium” at the Moscow State Forest University. In the future work of the conference was held in Belarus, Poland, Finland, Ukraine, Russia and Hungary in recent years it is the largest youth conference in Central and Eastern Europe, with international representation on forests, forest research and education, as well as one of the most abstracted in Russian scientific publications.
The annual conferences is costly and time consuming to prepare activities and discuss the problems of the forest are often beyond the scope and temporal regulation of the conference, so for regular and active collaboration of scientists, professionals and patriots of the forest web site, “Forests of Eurasia.”
